Bailey has never had a hair cut. Never a trim, a shape-up, an oh-my-lord-she-found-the-scissors incident. Her hair is long and lovely…but we were getting to point where it had to be carefully swept aside during potty time to make sure it didn’t get wiped. Yeah, ew.
Now, I had made myself a silent solemn vow to never intentionally take my daughter to a place called Sweet and Sassy. If the pink limo parked outside wasn’t enough to make me gag, then the assault of obnoxiously fruity fragrances and glittering EVERYTHING would certainly send me stumbling away in terror. But…BUT…I just found out about this thing called Toddler Tuesdays. Ten bucks later, the hair is cut, the sparkles are applied, and, most importantly, the haircut-fearing 2-year-old is radiating pure joy. Sigh. Even their lollipops were cooler than Supercuts.
Sweet Bailey was thrilled with the whole process. And I may or may not have gazed wistfully at the fluffy leopard print and hot pink matching mom and daughter flip flops.
HA. No. I didn’t.
In summation:
As I stepped outside of my comfort zone, my daughter leapt into hers. Work it.
Glitter application…
…glitter admiration.
OK, I’ll admit it. She is, in fact, both Sweet and Sassy.
And I love her to sparkly pieces.
She is such a cutie!!
What she is, is stinkin’ adorable! Congrats on braving the froofy salon–results indicate that it was worth it!
